![]() For the remainder of the week, the equity continued to make a run at these highs, falling just short on Friday, closing the day out with slight losses. Last week, Slack stock soared 37.6% on the news, hitting an annual high of $40.99. Regardless, the brokerage firm sees limited upside for WORK, and if a bid doesn't end up happening, there is a risk for "meaningful downside." Can be good practice to use a different approach when trying to fix the damage. The shares of Slack Technologies Inc (NYSE:WORK) are surging, now up 8% at 40.67, brushing off Barclays' downgrade to "equal weight" from "overweight," after a fresh dose of buyout buzz as CNBC suggested its takeover by (CRM) will be announced tomorrow. That’s why most bad trades happen in the first place. It’s not a good idea to try and fix a bad trade with a knee jerk one. Don’t jump right at buying more and averaging down - book the premium from cash-covered puts and accept the shares at a discount in case you get assigned. Buying power permitting, write puts beneath it. Once you have the basics, you can try more profitable strategies. ![]() You won’t make 37% back any time soon, but you don’t have to book the loss yet if there is any volatility to write paper against it. And options to be available and liquid on your underlying. It requires you have shares in multiples of 100 and approval to trade options. Most comments are useless - I guess telling you it’s a bad trade or should have had a stop loss order is not fixing much. I hope I am wrong and you make shit tons of money. So many ways for me to get content and I don't see Roku as an integral way to get content. If it broke, I don't know if I would replace it. For those who need to stream Crackle, Roku is for you.įor me? as a person with a Roku device, Apple TV, Chromecast, and an earlier smart TV, I still use my roku. Right now, I see Roku has two advantages: UI, which is 100% fixable. Most tvs come with streaming, don't they? I get apple's device, as it is part of the ecosystem and there is some value in that (easy screencasting, integrations). Really, though, every device is a smart device. I am guessing they provide this as a service for other manufacturers and it comes on some smart TVs? It is a gopro.Īlso, why do you say the product is no longer needed. ![]() How long before the market commands the actual TVs (not devices) get a cut of it? What technology are they come up with that beats out Google and Apple? If devices still become a thing, when do they become free and pay for a service and who is going to make that plunge? Maybe ok for a growth stock if you consider a market cap of 5 billion dollars, but I would want to be excited about the prospects of what they can do. They have 450 million in assets (as of 2018). There is a lot of loafs in the aisle from an investment standpoint. Might it be worth the $15? I suppose, but it still looks like a loaf of bread. I am gonna look at that tag and what it is and keep on moving down the aisle. For me, it is like going into a grocery store and seeing a loaf of bread for $15. I didn't value it as such, but going off of what the other person was saying. Most information to help you learn and practice can be found in our wiki.
